The bite of Tyrannosaurus rex is unmatched. This carnivore can open its jaws to 80 degrees and slam down with a force of up to 34,500 Newtons (7,756 Pound-force) – more than enough to drive its thick, serrated teeth from the toughest of hides and shatter bones.
When Jurassic Park was released, paleontologists had only found about 50 Tyrannosaurus rex skeletons. This dinosaur's footprints are even more rare and have only been found in Wyoming and New Mexico.
The Velociraptor may have been small compared to some of the other dinosaurs in existence at the time, but this species is a natural hunter. These dinosaurs often hunted in groups as they were able to take down larger predators in packs.
The utilization of computer-generated imagery (CGI) in the film "Jurassic Park" marked a revolutionary technological advancement for the entertainment business. This remarkable movie was recognized at the 1994 Academy Awards, winning three prestigious Oscars in the categories of Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Visual Effects.
